Well things are working well as planned for Tommy Randall. He is now staying with a host family, living in a location and getting more and more famous by the day. Everyone just enjoys having him around. This is what he has to say:
Since getting off the plane in Johannesburg till this day, I am having the most fun I have ever had in my life. I’m experiencing new and exciting things everyday. Time has past and now I’m settling into the town of Christiana. Everyone is so nice and don’t mind having chat even though I cant understand most of it but other than the language problem everyone has been welcoming me. The living conditions are different than home but that’s the whole experience of living in a different environment.

In the afternoon’s Mondays – Fridays at 17:00 I teach footy to kids and teenagers aged 8 to 16 for couple of hours, explain what the game is and at the end there is a match between each other, it’s very fun. They don’t fully understand the game but as time goes on they will pick up the rules. Lots of kids play AFL here around from 50 to 60 kids a session, its something different than a round soccer ball they are used to playing.

I visit different schools each day of the week and I take a session for grades 5-7 at lunch time trying to promote footy around the township getting more players to come to the afternoon training sessions.

Doing this will make it easier to put a league together.

On the weekend there is something to train and look forward to. We have an umpiring committee with about 30 ladies wanting to umpire games.

All of my experiences that have happened to me are just the beginning new ones.
